Chair signs new three-year QPR contract
QPR midfielder Ilias Chair has signed a new three-year contract.
West London Sport revealed in July that Rangers would look to extend the contracts of Chair and Bright-Osayi Samuel – and that Chair was in line for a three-year deal.
Osayi-Samuel’s deal is due to expire next summer but the club have an option to extend it by 12 months, meaning he is effectively under contract until 2021.
Rangers, who signed him from Blackpool in 2017, nevertheless want to tie Osayi-Samuel, 21, to a longer-term deal.
Chair, also 21, was signed from Lierse SK two years ago. He has impressed since being given a run in the QPR side and has made 21 first-team appearances for the club in total.
“I am very pleased and very happy. I feel this is the start,” Chair told the club website.
“In life when you do something and you get rewarded, you move onto the next thing, the next target.
“Now that I have signed this contract I am focused on the next one.”
