Burton v QPR player ratings
QPR are nine points clear of the relegation zone after winning at Burton. Here’s how we rated each Rangers player in the 3-1 victory.
Alex Smithies: 7
Dealt well with high balls into his area and produced an important first-half save when he gathered at the feet of Lloyd Dyer.
Nedum Onuoha: 7
Had a very decent game at the back. Rangers look much more solid with him there.
Joel Lynch: 6
Had one of his better games for Rangers. Kept his concentration and also managed to play the ball out of defence well for the most part.
Jack Robinson: 7
Had another solid game. Tidy on the ball and linked up nicely with Jake Bidwell on the left.
Darnell Furlong: 8

Had an excellent game on his return to the side. Defended resolutely and set up the opening goal for Aramide Oteh.
Josh Scowen: 7
After a poor start, during which he twice gave the ball away sloppily, Scowen improved as the game wore on. Found Furlong with a lovely ball in the build up to the first goal and had a fine second half.
Massimo Luongo: 8
A great display, capped by his late goal to seal the win. Being rested last weekend seemed to do him good.
Luke Freeman: 7
Another classy, creative display from Freeman, the highlight of which was a through ball to Washington to set up Rangers’ all important second goal.
Jake Bidwell: 7

Gave Burton nothing on the flank and got forward often too.
Aramide Oteh: 7
An impressive full debut for the 19-year-old, whose pace and enthusiasm up front was a major factor in Rangers’ win. He missed a great chance in the opening couple of minutes and ran out of steam prior to being taken off in the second half. But in between, he scored a goal and set up Conor Washington who hit the post after being found by a great ball from the youngster.
Conor Washington: 8
A successful return to the side for Washington, who was bright throughout. Having been denied by a near-post save from Stephen Bywater and having hit the woodwork, he got the goal deserved and then teed up Luongo for QPR’s third.
Matt Smith: 6
Brought on for Oteh in the second half just before Washington restored Rangers’ lead. What might otherwise have been a period of pumping balls towards Smith in the hope of a second goal therefore didn’t materialise and his involvement was limited as a result.
