QPR boss Mark Warburton has insisted Luke Amos will have a “big impact” for them this season after he returned from injury in the win at Hull City.
The Tottenham loanee, who had last played in Rangers’ home win against Luton Town, had missed the previous four games with a hamstring problem.
Although Amos has featured just twice in the past nine games, after being involved in the opening five of the season, Warburton has reiterated the youngster’s importance to the squad.
He said: “That was his first first-team game for the past four or five weeks. He had that injury, the medical team has looked after him, [and] so he’s back.
“He’s a talented lad, a really talented player, and we have to look after all our players, but it’s great to see him back on the pitch. There’s no doubt between now and May he will have a big impact for us.”
Neither Lee Wallace nor Grant Hall, who have had their respective injury problems as well, were in the squad despite both being available for selection.
But Warburton stressed that during QPR’s run of games coming up he needs his players to be “fit and fresh”.
He added: “It’s about the squad, and this is a long season, so undoubtedly we will use every individual throughout the course of those games.”

Strange as this sounds, I hope we dont get promoted this season, because if we do get there, we will be straight back down again. I think we will need at least another season to consolidate and get ourselves a squad capable of competing in the Premiership first - unless, of course we find a hidden pot of gold and buy instant success without falling foul of the dreaded FFP rules.
