Boss doubts keeper Cesar will join Arsenal
QPR manager Harry Redknapp has hinted that he does not believe Arsenal will sign Julio Cesar.
The Brazil goalkeeper, who was bought from Inter Milan last summer, is set to leave Loftus Road in the wake of Rangers’ relegation from the Premier League.
Arsenal are reported to be interested in the 33-year-old and AC Milan have also been linked with him.
But Redknapp said: “Where’s he going? Arsenal? Maybe. [But] Arsene Wenger’s never phoned me.”
Cesar has made it clear he expects to move on, while Redknapp believes Rob Green will be Rangers’ keeper in the Championship next season.
Redknapp added: “Julio is the Brazilian national goalkeeper and obviously wants to play at the top level.
“It [QPR’s relegation] is a problem for him. He wants to play for Brazil in the World Cup and playing in the Championship is not going to help him.”
