Kevin Doyle appears to be facing only a brief spell on the sidelines with a knee injury he picked up at Birmingham.
The Republic of Ireland striker, signed on loan from Wolves in January, hobbled off in the final minutes of QPR’s 2-0 victory at St Andrews on Saturday.
He will miss Tuesday’s match at Brighton and is touch-and-go for this weekend’s home game against Yeovil.
But news he is unlikely to be out for longer is a boost for Rangers given that they are already without injured top scorer Charlie Austin and are trying to make up ground in the race for automatic promotion.
On-loan Manchester United youngster Will Keane is set to replace Doyle in the starting line-up at Brighton.
