Boost for QPR as Simpson eyes return
QPR defender Danny Simpson could be available for selection in a fortnight.
Simpson has been out with a back problem but the results of a scan he underwent last week were encouraging.
And Rangers are now hopeful that the former Newcastle man will be back in action early next month.
Manager Harry Redknapp confirmed: “It’s okay. He’s improving. A couple of weeks and he could be back. It’ll be good for us to get him back.”
Meanwhile, top scorer Charlie Austin is responding well to treatment for a shoulder injury and the club are hopeful he will return in the coming weeks.
But Andrew Johnson is still struggling with an ankle injury and will remain sidelined for this weekend’s game at Charlton, where loan signing Ravel Morrison is set to make his debut.
