Boost for QPR ahead of Doncaster game

Junior Hoilett and Jermaine Jenas have been passed fit for QPR’s trip to face Doncaster and Tom Carroll is also available.

Jenas, who was substituted at half-time during Saturday’s win against Charlton, and Hoilett have both overcome hamstring problems.

On-loan Tottenham midfielder Carroll resumed training with Rangers this week, having returned to Spurs for treatment on an ankle injury he suffered while playing for England’s Under-21s last month.

His fitness was assessed on Thursday and Carroll was deemed fit enough to join the squad for this weekend’s game.

Joey Barton has also been given the all-clear to play despite suffering a hand injury against Charlton.

Boss Harry Redknapp confirmed: “Tom’s back with us and that’s good news. He’s available, which is good, and Joey’s fine.”

However, Rangers are still without Nedum Onuoha, who remains sidelined after suffering a recurrence of a hamstring complaint.

The defender aggravated the injury after coming on as a substitute during the recent draw against Reading.
