QPR are assessing a hamstring injury suffered by Jermaine Jenas at Reading, while Junior Hoilett and Niko Kranjcar are nursing similar complaints and Richard Dunne has a back problem.
Jenas went off during the first half and veteran defender Dunne had to be replaced at the interval at the Madejski Stadium, where Rangers drew 1-1 after Joey Barton rescued point with a 78th-minute free-kick.
Kranjcar came on for Jenas, returning to action after his own hamstring injury, but the playmaker struggled to complete the match and is a doubt for Croatia’s World Cup qualification play-off against Iceland.
Hoilett’s hamstring was also a cause for concern during the closing stages, making the two-week international break a timely one for the R’s.
“Richard Dunne’s back locked up, that was the problem,” QPR assistant manager Kevin Bond explained.
“Jermaine Jenas has done his hamstring. We don’t know the extent of it yet. It’s disappointing for him and for us, because he was excellent last week.
“Junior and Niko were also carrying hamstring problems towards the end. Thankfully we’ve got a fortnight without a game now.”
Rangers dominated the opening stages but were unable to find the net and found themselves behind after Garath McCleary’s 51st-minute goal.
But Barton levelled and substitute Andy Johnson almost put the visitors ahead late on.
Bond added: “We had numerous chances in the first half, hit the crossbar and their keeper made a couple of fine saves.
“We should have been a couple of goals up and you knew that Reading would come back at us, which they did.
“We unfortunately went a goal down when we really should have been ahead. But I thought we kicked on again after the equaliser and were in charge in the closing period.”
