Bond: Faurlin was injured for QPR draw
QPR assistant manager Kevin Bond said Alejandro Faurlin missed the 1-1 draw at Huddersfield with a thigh injury.
Esteban Granero replaced the Argentine midfielder, who had started Rangers’ previous two matches this season.
There has been speculation that Fulham, who have enquired about Granero, are interested in Faurlin.
But Bond expects him to be back in action for the R’s soon.
“Hopefully he’ll be back next week,” said Bond.
“He picked up a thigh injury in training on Thursday.”
Bond, speaking to the media in place of manager Harry Redknapp, who is still on crutches following a knee operation, was unhappy that Rangers couldn’t make their dominance count.
“We’re not really happy tonight,” he said.
“It was a game that we should have won. On the balance of play and the chances that we created, we feel disappointed that we haven’t come away with three points.”
Bond was more satisfied with the way Rangers fought back through a Junior Hoilett goal after going behind to James Vaughan’s opener on 35 minutes.
“A lot has been said about the lack of spirit within the side from last season, and you sense that things are slightly different this season,” he said.
“There’s a better feel around the club. You get the feeling in the dressing room that they’re more of a resilient bunch that are going to fight for the cause.
“Sometimes it’s not going to be great football, but you’ll need to graft, knuckle down and grind out a few results.”
