Blackburn given injury boost ahead of QPR game
Blackburn could have midfielder Hope Akpan back in their squad for the visit of QPR on Saturday.
Akpan, 25, suffered an ankle injury in Rovers’ FA Cup win over Blackpool last weekend.
He subsequently sat out the league defeat by Leeds United in midweek but has trained with his team-mates on Friday.
A late decision will be made on whether the former Everton youngster is fit enough to feature.
Fellow midfielder Corry Evans is injured, as are defenders Tommie Hoban, Elliott Ward and Adam Henley.
Marvin Emnes, back at Blackburn for a second spell on loan from Swansea, was not involved against Leeds but should be in the squad to face Rangers.
