Betting on Julio Cesar’s next club was suspended this afternoon amid rumours that QPR’s Brazilian goalkeeper could be on his way to Leeds United.
Sky Bet stopped offering odds on Cesar’s next destination after it was reported that Massimo Cellino is set to acquire Leeds from GFH Capital.
Cellino owns Italian club Cagliari and they were recently linked with Cesar, who has not made a league appearance this season.
QPR have not had an approach but would be happy to let the 34-year-old leave on a free transfer or help cover his wages if a club wants him on loan.
Despite reported interest from a host of clubs since Cesar was made available at the end of last season, recent interest from Sunderland was the first approach Rangers had received.
They have not heard from the Black Cats since but have had enquiries from number of European sides in the last few weeks.
Betting on Cesar joining Arsenal was suspended last summer following reports he was on the verge of a move to the Gunners, who showed no serious interest in signing him.
