Backroom departures confirmed by QPR
QPR have confirmed the departures of assistant manager David Oldfield and first-team coach Dirk Heesen.
Both men were brought to Loftus Road in December last year by Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, who was recently sacked by the club and replaced by Ian Holloway.
Holloway, back for a second spell as manager, is bringing former QPR midfielder Marc Bircham back to the club to work alongside him.
Chris Barnes, who had the role of performance enhancement consultant, has also left.
West London Sport last week revealed that odds-on favourite Tim Sherwood was not in the running for the manager’s job, that Rangers had spoken to Holloway and subsequently revealed that the 53-year-old was set to land the job and return to the club along with Bircham.
