Austin’s return to QPR is confirmed
QPR have confirmed Charlie Austin’s return to the club.
The striker has joined on loan from West Brom for the rest of the season.
Rangers are set to also bring in Dutch centre-back Jordy De Wijs, 26, from Hull City.
De Wijs, who joined Hull from PSV Eindhoven in 2018, is expected to arrive on loan with a view to a permanent move.
Austin, 31, scored 45 league goals in 82 appearances and established himself as a hugely popular player during his previous spell at Rangers.

He played a key role in helping the club win promotion to the Premier League in 2014 and then scored 18 times in the top flight the following season.
It was not enough to prevent a return to the Championship and he left Loftus Road in January 2016 to join Southampton for £4m after refusing to sign a new contract.
“When I was told there was a chance of it happening I grabbed it with both hands,” Austin told QPR’s website.
“Walking into the ground today has brought a lot of the memories back. It’s special for me and special for my family.”

I love Charlie as much as the next R’s fan but he has not played 90 minutes on a regular basis for a long time and from what i can recall he was prone to the ‘odd’ injury!.. let’s hope he avoids injury because if he can, there is no doubt he will score goals!. Best of luck to him!

At last some common sense has arrived, Lets hope he can carry on in the same vein as he left (but I doubt it). I live in hope.

At last a great signing. Charlie will put the lacklustre forwards to shame and finally we will see the R’s scoring goals again.
Great signing.
