On Thursday, Whiley will begin her defence of the women’s doubles title as she and Lucy Shuker take on Jiske Griffioen and Aniek van Koot.
Eastcote’s Andy Lapthorne was also beaten in his first quad singles match but still has a chance of reaching the final.
He lost his opening round-robin encounter 6-0 6-4 to world number one Dylan Alcott, who he will team up with in Thursday’s quad doubles final.
Lapthorne plays David Wagner and Lucas Sithole in his remaining singles matches.
