Ickenham’s wheelchair tennis star Jordanne Whiley has picked up her MBE at Buckingham Palace from Princess Anne.
Whiley, 23, was recognised in the Queen’s birthday honours list in June after a stellar start to her career.
Having claimed bronze at the 2012 London Paralympics, she went on to win all four grand slam doubles titles in 2014.
Whiley then made it five in a row when she and partner Yui Kamiji won the Australian Open in January and she added her first-ever grand slam singles title with victory at last month’s US Open.
Whiley, who was born in Birmingham, lives with fellow west London wheelchair tennis player Marc McCarroll.
Former Chelsea Ladies defender Casey Stoney was also made an MBE at Tuesday’s ceremony.
