New head coach for IBB Polonia volleyball club
Brentford-based volleyball side IBB Polonia London have appointed Piotr Graban as their new head coach.
The 30-year-old joins from Atom Trefl Sopot – the top ladies team in his native Poland – where he won two championships as assistant head coach.
The club, who play their home matches at the Brentford Fountain Leisure Centre, begin pre-season training in August, with Graban arriving at the end of July.
Bartek Luszcz, chairman of IBB Polonia, said: “I’m really happy that Piotr has joined us.
“We will be doing everything in our powers to ensure the club can fulfill Piotr’s ambitions; as a result we will develop even further.”
Graban added: “Working with IBB will be my first leadership role in this level of volleyball
“Using my experience as a coach in Poland, I can develop my style as IBB’s head coach.
“IBB has given me a chance and I am very keen to make the most of it. I know a certain amount about the club and the opposition.
“I always try my best to be prepared with all of my responsibilities. This brings concrete effects and I’m positive it will be the same at IBB.”
