Ruislip Eagles coach Marc Fayemi has urged his side to raise their standard after learning of their opponents in European competition next season.
The Eagles, in their fifth appearance in the EHF Challenge Cup, will face Braga-based ABC/UMinho over two legs in October.
A third-round tie against Romanian club Odorhei awaits the winners.
Fayemi said: “Year after year we gain experience [but] ABC/UMinho has a long history in European competition.
“We will face a team composed of professional and very experienced players. We will need to push ourselves and raise our standard. This is exciting.”
