Ruislip Eagles bounced back from their recent defeat against London GD by winning 32-17 at Deva HC.
Determined to cement their position in the top three, they started strongly and led 5-1.
When Deva managed to claw their way back to 5-3, Eagles coach Amer Altimini took a strategic timeout.
And his side responded by racing into a 15-9 lead after long-range goals from the back player Lucas Carstens and brilliant saves from goalkeeper Stefan Bauer.
Their opponents battled to the end but could not cope with Ruislip’s speed.
Altimini said: “Deva is a young team who plays a good collective handball. I wanted my players to enjoy the game and they did the job.”
The Eagles will now focus on the semi-final of the EHA Cup, which will take place this Sunday, 28 April, at Leyton Score Centre, E10 5JY, at 2.30 pm.
Team: Stefan Bauer (goalkeeper) , Lucas Carsten (7), Mickael Vitello (6), Hadrien Pollino (5), Denis Werner (4), Alexandre Tighzer (4), Fredrik Charpentier (3), Bjoern Tessmann (3)
Coach: Amer Altimimi
