George Groves easily stayed on course for another world title shot, knocking out the previously unbeaten David Brophy in the fourth round at the O2 Arena.
Hammersmith’s former British, Commonwealth and European super-middleweight champion wobbled the Scotsman with a powerful right in the opening round.
And after dominating the following couple of rounds, Groves ended the fight with a crunching body shot.
Brophy, clearly out of his depth, was in obvious pain and was unable to beat the count.
The victory kept Groves in the frame for a fourth world title challenge following his two losses to Carl Froch and last year’s points defeat against WBC champion Badou Jack.
