Ouseph win helps England demolish Estonia
Rajiv Ouseph helped England to a comprehensive 5-0 rout of Estonia in the first match of the European Men’s Team Championship in Kazan, Russia.
Feltham’s world number 17 opened proceedings and defeated Raul Must 21-13 21-19.
Ouseph had never lost to world number 45 Must in their previous three meetings and after a tight opening he won 11 of 14 points to clinch the opening game.
Their match at last year’s Swedish Masters had gone the distance and it looked like this might do the same as Must held a lead for much of the second game.
But Ouseph gradually chipped away and from 17-19 down he claimed four points in a row to secure victory.
England take on Bulgaria in their next group game on Wednesday.
