Ouseph is top seed for title defence

Hounslow’s Rajiv Ouseph will be the top men’s singles seed at the English National Championships for the seventh year in a row.

The defending champion, 26, has won the title for the last five years and will defend his crown when the tournament returns to the National Cycling Centre in Manchester from February 1-3.

Ouseph, who won Commonwealth silver in 2010 and represented Great Britain at last summer’s Olympics,  is seeded to meet number two seed Toby Penty in the final.

But there could be a threat from sixth seed Carl Baxter, who has been runner-up for the last four years.
