Watford duo join Wealdstone on loan

Wealdstone have signed youngsters Connor Smith and Britt Assombalonga on loan from Watford until January.

Smith, an Irish Under-19 international, is an attacking midfielder, and Assombalonga can play in that role or as a striker.

Assombalonga has been a substitute for Watford’s first team on several occasions without playing, while Smith is best known for finishing runner-up in the television series Football’s Next Star last year.
