Stones keeper suffers serious injury

Wealdstone goalkeeper Jonathan North has undergone surgery after sustaining a serious injury in Tuesday’s game against Canvey Island.

The former Watford man suffered a double leg break during the 3-1 defeat and faces a long spell on the sidelines.

North recently signed a new contract with the Stones and was voted their player of the year last season.
