Spendlove joins Canvey from Stones

Danny Spendlove has left Wealdstone to sign for Canvey Island.

Spendlove spent three years with the Stones, making 134 appearances and scoring 17 goals.

“Danny feels that the time is right for a change of club in order to recapture his form,” said Wealdstone manager Gordon Bartlett.

“He has been frustrated by his lack of playing time so far this season but is the first to admit that when opportunities have have presented themselves, he hasn’t reached the heights we all know he is capable of.

“He’s a great lad who is desperate to do well and start playing with confidence and a smile on his face again.”
