Setback for United as Cadmore leaves
Long-serving defender Tom Cadmore is leaving Hayes & Yeading United after almost five years at the club
The 25-year-old, who played in United’s first competitive match, in 2007, will be joining ambitious Conference South newcomers Brighton City, formerly Whitehawk.
It is the second key departure from United in less than a week after skipper Sam Cox opted to leave in pursuit of a full-time deal elsewhere.
Cadmore made almost 250 appearances for United, beginning with a three-month loan spell from Wycombe back in August 2007.
He made his debut at Lewes in the club’s first match post-merger, and then signed permanently the following summer.
Consistently impressive displays during the promotion season of 2008-09 earned the defender the player of the season award and he stayed with the club even after their relegation from the Conference Premier.
