Manager Bashir leaves Hayes & Yeading
Hayes & Yeading United have parted company with manager Nas Bashir by mutual consent.
United, looking to bounce back to the Conference Premier after relegation last season, currently sit eighth in the Conference South – eight points off the play-off places. They were beaten 6-2 at Chelmsford City on Saturday.
Director of football Tony O’Driscoll will take temporary charge of the first-team affairs for this week’s Middlesex Senior Cup match with Uxbridge and Saturday’s league game against Truro City.
Bashir, 43, was appointed boss in the summer of 2011 having previously been assistant academy director at Reading, working alongside the likes of Brendan Rodgers, Steve Coppell and Alan Pardew.
His position was reviewed following United’s relegation but he stayed in the job with the brief of returning them to the top flight of non-League football.
