Lewis takes over as Hayes & Yeading boss

Hayes & Yeading United have appointed Mickey Lewis as their new manager.

The 51-year-old succeeds Garry Haylock, who left in the wake of the club’s recent relegation to the Southern League.

Lewis previously had a spell coaching at United but left soon after the arrival of Haylock.

He played for West Brom and Derby but has spent a large part of his career at Oxford United, making more than 300 appearances for the U’s.

He later returned to Oxford as a coach and had two spells as their caretaker manager.
