Hendon manager Gary McCann has confirmed he wants to sign strikers Isaiah Rankin and Lawrence Yaku.
Rankin has been training with the Greens along with former Hampton & Richmond favourite Yaku, who had been expected to join Boreham Wood this summer.
“Isaiah wanted to have a look at us as much as we did at him,” McCann told West London Sport.
“His quality and experience speak volumes and he’s done really well in pre-season. We’ve got him a bit sharper and fitter, so he’s one we’re looking to add to the squad for sure.
“Lawrence Yaku’s in the same bracket. He’s not had the most fruitful pre-season because he thought he had a deal sorted at Boreham Wood and that fell through, so it’s been a bit stop-start. We’re trying hard to get him to where we know he can be.”
Rankin, 33, started his career with Arsenal, and later made 82 league appearances during a two-year spell at Brentford, scoring 15 goals.
He has played for a host of other clubs, including Barnsley, Grimsby and Bradford.
