Harrow striker seals move to Braintree

Harrow Borough striker Simeon Akinola has joined Conference Premier club Braintree Town for an undisclosed fee.

The 22-year-old hit 12 goals in 39 appearances last season and has already netted twice in this campaign, against Enfield and Margate.

His form caught the eye of Braintree boss Alan Devonshire and the forward, who joined Harrow from Boreham Wood in 2012, has completed a move into non-League’s top flight.

Devonshire said: “Simeon gives us something different up front. I’ve watched him a few times and he has great potential.”

Akinola may be in line to make his Iron debut at Alfreton on Saturday.
