Wealdstone sign highly-rated West Ham keeper

Wealdstone have signed England Under-18 goalkeeper Sam Howes on a month-long loan deal from West Ham.

He will cover for the Stones regular keeper Jonathan North, who will shortly undergo a knee operation.

Howes, 18, is highly-rated at Upton Park and has played for the Hammers’ development squad, as well as the first team on their tour of New Zealand in July 2014.

He was also part of the England squad which won the UEFA European Under-17 Championship last summer.
