Former Chelsea star joins Hendon

Hendon have signed former Chelsea defender Frank Sinclair.

Sinclair, who turns 40 next month, has been joined at Vale Farm by Darren Currie.

Midfielder Currie, nephew of former QPR star Tony Currie, spent three years at Ipswich and has played for a number of other clubs, including Barnet, Wycombe, Brighton and Luton.

The 36-year-old ended last season at Dagenham & Redbridge and in the summer joined Boreham Wood, where he also acted as the club’s assistant manager.

Sinclair made over 200 appearances during a long career at Chelsea and his other previous clubs include Leicester and Burnley. Last season he was with Wrexham.
