Hayes & Yeading United boss Nas Bashir says the club have received no firm offers for Luke Williams and has challenged the midfielder to prove his ability this season.
A number of clubs have shown an interest in the 22-year-old, who had a trial with Swansea last November.
Williams was tipped to move on after United’s relegation from the Blue Square Bet Premier, but as things stand he will be staying put.
“Luke has got a lot of ability. He can definitely play at a higher level, we all know that,” said Bashir.
“I just hope that this year he shows everyone what he can do. He’s really too good for this league and I hope he can show that and not think it’s going to be easy.
“And if a club comes along and gives Luke the opportunity he deserves then we’ll have to consider it.”
