Rossington signs new Middlesex contract

Adam Rossington has signed a new two-year contract at Middlesex.

The 20-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman impressed in one-day competition this year and has played 32 times for the first team.

Last summer he scored a maiden first-class hundred against Cambridge University, moving from 50 to 100 in only 12 balls.

“Adam is potentially one of the most exciting young cricketers in the country and we are delighted he has signed a new deal,” said Middlesex’s managing director of cricket Angus Fraser.

“He has an excellent cricket brain and enjoys being in the thick of a battle. As well as being able to compete, Adam has the talent to put his plans into action.

“Like a lot of young cricketers there are areas of his game he needs to work on, and these have been identified to him.

“In 2014 Adam has the opportunity to push for and claim a place in our 1st eleven in all forms of the game.”
