Middlesex have extended Toby Roland-Jones’ contract to the end of the 2014 domestic season.
Roland-Jones, 23, has emerged as a key player for the club and underlined his potential by taking 68 wickets at an average of 22 in the last two seasons.
His excellent form earned him an inclusion in England’s winter Performance Programme.
“It is great to have secured Toby’s services for at least the next three years,” said Middlesex managing director of cricket Angus Fraser.
“Toby is an extremely talented and hard-working player. Hopefully he will be bowling for Middlesex CCC for the next 10 years or more.
“Toby has come a long way in an extremely short space of time. This time two years ago there was a danger he may have slipped out of the game.
“He is now one of the most exciting young bowlers in the country – and there is still plenty of scope for him to become an even better bowler.”
