Middlesex seamer Tom Helm is focused on maintaining a clean bill of health when the new county season gets under way later this week.
Helm has been troubled by a catalogue of injuries in the past and missed the last two months of the 2018 campaign with a back problem.
He told West London Sport: “I’ve said this for a few years now – every year that comes around, hoping this will be the one when I don’t have an injury.
“Let’s hope this year is that one. It would be nice to have a steady run in the team and we’d like to win some silverware for sure.”
The 24-year-old Chelsea fan reflects on Middlesex’s prospects of success, competition for places in the bowling attack – and also why he wants to see Maurizio Sarri stay at Stamford Bridge.
