Middlesex batsman Stephen Eskinazi has signed a new two-year contract with the club.
The 21-year-old was the club’s leading run-scorer in second XI cricket this season and was rewarded with his first-class debut against county champions Yorkshire at Lord’s.
He initially joined Middlesex three years ago on a summer scholarship before signing a full contract for the 2015 campaign.
Angus Fraser, Middlesex’s director of cricket, said: “Stephen thoroughly deserves a new contract.
“In the match against Yorkshire he looked comfortable against high-quality bowling, which is a good sign for the future.”
