Middlesex remained unbeaten and top of Division One after their match at Hampshire fizzled out into a draw.
Michael Carberry scored his second half-century of the match as he scored 57, while Jimmy Adams (37) and James Vince (32) also contributed.
Neil Dexter, James Harris, Ollie Rayner and James Franklin each took a wicket, while Sam Robson claimed his first for Middlesex as he had Adam Wheater caught behind with his part-time leg-spin.
By the time the players shook hands on the draw, Hampshire had reached 185-5, a lead of 236.
After avoiding defeat in their first five matches, Middlesex are 13 points clear of second-placed Durham.
