Davey handed new Middlesex deal
Josh Davey has signed a one-year contract extension with Middlesex.
The new deal means Davey will stay with the club until at least the end of the 2012 season.
The 20-year-old has yet to establish himself in Middlesex’s 1st XI, but has been a regular for Scotland’s CB40 and one-day international sides.
Middlesex’s managing director of cricket Angus Fraser said: “Josh has shown when playing for Scotland – and in the limited opportunities he has had playing for Middlesex – what a capable and exciting young cricketer he is.
“This season for Scotland he has scored crucial runs in pressure situations and taken useful wickets. We believe this all-round package means he has a bright future ahead of him.”
