Middlesex T20 clash at Taunton called off

Middlesex’s T20 Blast match at Somerset has been abandoned without a ball being bowled.

Persistent rain all day in Taunton forced the game to be called off around two hours before the start time of 5.30pm.

It leaves both teams as the bottom two sides in the South group and both mathematically eliminated.

On Thursday, Middlesex beat Surrey by 43 runs in an enthralling match at Lord’s.

They begin their Royal London One-Day Cup campaign on Sunday at HQ against Warwickshire.
