Century for Rogers as Middlesex draw

Match Drawn. Lancashire 392 & 266-8 dec, Middlesex 230 & 265-1

Lancashire 9pts, Middlesex 5pts

Chris Rogers hit a century as Middlesex batted throughout the final day to secure a draw against the champions.

Resuming on 29-0 and chasing an unlikely winning target of 429, they made up ground with
Sam Robson (50), Joe Denly (61 not out) and Rogers (138 not out) bringing the visitors to 265-1.

Rogers survived two lbw appeals on 16 and 55 off Glen Chapple and Simon Kerrigan.

The result leaves Lancashire still awaiting their first win of the season.
