Rangers hopeful Remy will face United
QPR are hopeful striker Loic Remy will return from a groin problem against Manchester United.
The Frenchman has missed Rangers’ last two matches – a goalless draw against Norwich and a 4-1 defeat at Swansea – but trained on Thursday and is expected to be in the squad this weekend.
He is due to be assessed ahead of the game and manager Harry Redknapp is optimistic Remy will be involved against the Premier League leaders.
Redknapp said: “Remy’s trained and looks okay. Whether he’s fit and available to play 90 minutes, we’ll have to wait and see.
“He had a little bit of a setback so we’ll see how he is. It’s difficult with groins because you don’t want to risk him being out for six weeks if he tears it.”
Junior Hoilett is available again after a hamstring injury.
Meanwhile, Redknapp has insisted he has not thought about whether he will stay at QPR if they go down.
