Fulham 1 Wigan 1
Fulham were booed off by the home fans after Franco di Santo’s equaliser meant they had to settle for a point.
Giorgos Karagounis scored with a second scorcher from distance in as many games to give the home side a half-time lead.
But Di Santo’s own belter from the edge of the box levelled on 71 minutes.
And Maynor Figueroa cleared a Bryan Ruiz shot off the line in stoppage time to help Wigan to a deserved point.
Mark Schwarzer was back in the Fulham goal, while Damien Duff and Mladen Petric also returned in place of youngster Matthew Briggs and the injured Steve Sidwell.
Karagounis’ long-range effort was needed to earn an FA Cup third-round replay against Blackpool last week and the Greek midfielder found the net via the far post on 22 minutes to put Fulham ahead.
But Jol’s men struggled to create further chances and Di Santo sprang into life to score from 20 yards out.
Fulham (4-4-2): Schwarzer; Riether, Hangeland, Hughes, Richardson; Duff (Baird 82), Karagounis, Ruiz, Kacaniklic (Dejagah 87); Berbatov, Petric (Rodallega 65)
Subs not used: Stockdale, Riise, Senderos, Kasami.
