Williams nets for Fulham’s youngsters but debutant helps Brighton win
Sean Kavanagh, George Williams and a trialist were included in the Fulham Under-23s line-up that lost 4-2 to Brighton’s youngsters on Monday.
Williams put the Whites in front from the spot early on but Albion turned the game on its head with two goals in six minutes late in the first half.
Kavanagh scored an unfortunate own goal after a cross by George Cox, before Daniel Mandroiu hit the top corner from outside the penalty area.
But their lead did not last long as Stephen Humphrys’ shot deflected off Josh Kerr and went in.
Another Cox cross put Brighton back in front 10 minutes after the break, with debutant Steven Alzate, signed from Leyton Orient this summer, converting. Kerr made it 4-2 with a header.
