Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has denied reports he is interested in signing Dimitar Berbatov from Fulham
Berbatov’s agent recently stated that the Bulgarian forward is unhappy at Craven Cottage and is keen to leave during this month’s transfer window rather than wait until the summer, when his contract is due to expire.
He has been linked with a number of clubs, including his former side Tottenham, while Wenger was reported to be close to signing him in £2m deal.
But Wenger insisted: “It’s not a name that we have considered. We haven’t contacted anybody.”
