Aston Villa are likely to be without captain Tommy Elphick and former Man City defender Micah Richards when they host Fulham on Saturday.
Both missed their team’s 2-1 victory at Reading on Tuesday night with calf injuries.
England Under-21 midfielder Jack Grealish is also missing, as he serves the second game of a three-match ban for violent conduct.
Grealish, 21, was charged by the Football Association after video evidence showed him kicking out at Conor Coady while laying on the ground.
Fulham’s on-loan centre-back Tomas Kalas has been ruled out of the game with a hamstring injury.
But the Whites have been boosted by the return to training of midfielder Tom Cairney and winger Floyd Ayite.
