Spurs youngsters hit five past Fulham
Fulham’s Under-18s were well beaten by Tottenham’s youngsters, who had Samuel Shashoua’s brace partly to thank for a 5-2 victory.
The Whites kept Spurs at bay for the first 35 minutes until clever work from Kazaiah Sterling helped set up Jack Roles for the opener.
Shashoua got his first just before half-time, advancing from the right-hand side and sending in a shot which flew in after a deflection.
Fulham were gifted the chance to get back into the game on 52 minutes when Reece York was fouled in the box and Polish midfielder Mikolaj Kwietniewski converted the penalty.
By six minutes later, Spurs had scored twice more to further extend their lead – first Shashuoa lifted the ball over the onrushing Whites keeper Taye Ashby-Hammond and then Keanan Bennetts also converted a one-on-one situation.
Sterling added his name to the scoresheet late on, while Jayden Harris grabbed a consolation for Fulham from close range.
The result ended an 11-match unbeaten run for the Whites’ youngsters.
