Fulham boss Kit Symons admitted fitness concerns over Scott Parker, Jack Grimmer and Nikolay Bodurov in the wake of their 4-1 thrashing at home to local rivals Brentford.
Captain Parker missed out at the last minute through illness and Symons is unsure if he will return for Tuesday’s trip to Charlton, while Grimmer was forced off at half-time with a knee injury and Bodurov also picked up a knock.
“We missed Scott Parker – he’s always a miss when he’s not playing. He’s a very important player for us,” Symons said.
“He trained on Friday and we then got a call on Friday afternoon that he’d been taken poorly. [Whether he plays] Tuesday depends on how he is. We are hopeful but I don’t know yet.
“We are concerned about Jack and Nico. Jack’s knee was too sore and we don’t the extent of it yet.
“I am just pleased we’ve got the boys we have on loan because we’d be pretty thin otherwise. We were forced into changes because Jazz Richards was injured and and Shaun Hutchinson was suspended too.
“Ideally you’d like a settled team being successful. That’s the idea. If you can get the team and squad you want then it’s happy days but we’re not quite there and there’s not much we can do.”
Another defeat at Craven Cottage left Fulham two places and seven points outside the relegation places with six games left, and Symons admitted frustration with his side’s form.
“We played good football, created some chances, been on top but not made it count and it’s a recurring theme, which is very frustrating,” he said.
“With Millwall winning today, we’re definitely not safe yet. It’s kept things very much open and alive and we’ve got to go and do the job.”
