Kit Symons had no complaints about the red card dished out to Tom Cairney that left Fulham with an uphill task against Wolves.
The Whites lost 3-0 at Craven Cottage, bringing them back down to earth with a bump following Friday’s 4-0 thrashing of QPR.
“Luckily Tom didn’t [really] catch him [Adam Le Fondre] and he wasn’t hurt, “ said the Fulham boss.
“But it was both feet off the ground and referees have to give it these days, so I’ve got no problem with that. I’m just thankful the player wasn’t hurt.
“He’s not that kind of player who goes in for too many crunching tackles. But it was a bad decision and he’s disappointed with it and it will cost him and cost the team. There was no malice and he made a mistake.”
Symons added: “When it’s not your night and it doesn’t go your way, you’ve got to take it on the chin.”
