Fulham boss Kit Symons criticised his team’s defending after they capitulated late on and lost a dramatic derby against Brentford.
Symons admitted the defeat was “a tough one to swallow” after the Whites had gone ahead in the second half only to concede two late goals – including Brentford’s winner in stoppage time.
“I’m disappointed to say the least. I’m gutted for the players and especially gutted for the fans,” Symons said.
“Credit to Brentford. I thought they played very well but we weathered the storm and got our noses in front with a very short time to go.
“But we made poor decisions – it was poor defending. Both goals were preventable and we need to do better in those situations.
“It’s a tough one to swallow. It’s the end of a really good unbeaten run for us so we’ll have to go on another one now.”
