Fulham manager Kit Symons admitted his side still have a lot to learn after they were thrashed at home by Watford.
The Whites lost 5-0 after keeper Marcus Bettinelli was sent off early in the game – their first home league defeat since Symons was given the manager’s job.
“There is obviously a lot of improvement still to be made,” he said.
“We will analyse this and try and learn from it – you have to. We still have a lot to learn.
“We’ll take it for what it was; a bad start. We started very poorly even before they scored the first one and we didn’t heed the warnings.
“After the sending off, 2-0 down and with 10 men, it’s obviously very difficult. You have a mountain to climb.
“I thought we showed character in the second half but obviously when we look at the video the positives will be a very small part of it.”
